I can't stop thinking about that scene from Roger Rabbit.

His attitude towards Chikn just immediately changed the moment he realized looks weren't important to Chikn. The entirety of the shorts he was around Fwench fwy or Iscream they wouldn't get off his case about his looks or just talked about their work.

CHIKIN NUGGIT SPOILER WARNING

I have two theories

Theory 1: I think Bezel said “IT WASNT SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE THIS” for two reasons:

The obvious being him being caught in the transformation but also, Bezel realizing that he, as the doomsday clock, is tied to this realm in a way.

Once he inserted himself into everything, he became part of the narrative, a character, something that could be changed and molded

Bezel wanted to be included on the “fun” and he got his wish but, it’s becoming his nightmare

Theory 2: I think Chikin didn’t just turn Bezel “cute”, he turned Bezel mortal. Why else would Bezel be so horrified and exclaim about “flesh”? He was in a disguise before, a different form and can change it at will so, if it was just a change of appearance, couldn’t he just switch back or at the very least, just be mildly annoyed with the change?

No, I think Chikin turned Bezel mortal and that’s why he’s so horrified and screaming. This also means that, when Fwench Fwy said early on that Bezel with “go away” once things start going sideways, Bezel can no longer do that. He’s stuck just like the others and is coming to the horrifying realization, he can die
